Kind Hearts Animal Welfare Organization is a local, registered charity dedicated to changing that. Founded in 2023 by a small team with a big heart, we're working to build a brighter future for all creatures great and small. 

For too long, animals in Malawi have been overlooked and mistreated. Driven by a deep compassion and a firsthand understanding of the challenges they face, our founders witnessed the harsh realities of animal suffering. We believe that every animal deserves to live a life free from pain, fear, and neglect. We are guided by the principles of animal humanism, recognizing the inherent value and dignity of every living being.

What sets Kind Hearts apart?

We're not just animal lovers; we're from the communities we serve. Our team grew up witnessing – and sometimes participating in – practices that harmed animals. This lived experience gives us a unique insight into the root causes of animal cruelty and allows us to build trust with local communities. We understand the cultural context, and we know who to connect with to create lasting change. We've transformed our understanding of the problem into a powerful commitment to being the solution.

We have strong relationships with grassroots organizations, community leaders, government authorities, NGOs, schools, and community-based organizations, enabling us to reach more animals and create a wider impact.
